After conceding 82 runs on his ODI debut against Sri Lanka, he came back strongly to take 3-54 in his next game against the same opposition.
Made his first ODI century against Ireland at the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 1 in February 2007.
Scored a mammoth 196 runs in 117 balls (12 sixes, 20 fours) against Norway in the European Championship Division 1 in July 2008. Netherlands won by 370 runs.
