Kenya cruised to a comfortable nine-wicket win over Denmark on Wednesday to leave the Danes without a win in the group stages of the competition.

After being put into bat, Denmark struggled to reach 173-7 off 50 overs, although that did represent something of a recovery having been 52-4 at one stage.

Elijah Asoyo was the pick of the Kenyan attack, taking 3-51, with opener Mickey Lund top scoring with 45.

In reply a 140-run stand for the second wicket, between Kennedy Obuya (84 not out) and bright prospect Seren Waters (61 not out) helped it reach its target with 16.5 overs to spare.

In other matches, Oman recorded a sensational one-wicket victory over Uganda after chasing down a mammoth target of 299 to win with almost 13 overs to spare.

After Joel Olweny’s innings of 85 helped Uganda reach 298-5, some spectacular hitting from Farhan Khan, who smashed 95 off 49 balls, in a bid to improve its net run rate, helped Oman reach its target in a dramatic finale.

Elsewhere, Canada recorded a stunning 148-run victory over Scotland after a brilliant innings from Ashish Bagai (87) helped it reach 252-7 off 50 overs.

In reply, some impressive opening bowling from Umar Bhatti and Henry Osinde reduced Scotland to 33-5, and in the end it could only manage a pitiful 104 all out.

Ireland also maintained its 100 per cent record, with a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Namibia, while the UAE defeated Afghanistan. Scorecard
